    Research and ad creation

    Based on Ted's strategic guidance, our marketing experts will conduct user research for your campaign, and create images and copy for your ads. Timing: Within 1 week of the previous step.

  • Step 3

    Campaign launch

    Our marketing experts will launch a highly targeted campaign to grow your email list, with a total daily budget set by you. We recommend a budget of at least $5/day, however, the more you spend, the more subscribers you can bring in. Timing: Immediately after the previous step.

    Management

    For 30 days, we'll monitor your campaign and make adjustments to improve results. Our service will renew every month, unless you choose otherwise. Timing: 30 days after the previous step, with an option to continue for another 30.

Do I need to run ads to grow my email list?

 

No, however, ads make email-list growth a lot faster, and free up a lot of your time. To grow a large email list without ads, the most viable option is organic posting on social media.

 

However, to see major results just from organic social posts, you'll need to spend quite a bit of time creating the posts. Plus, you may need to wait several months, if not more, for those posts to translate into a substantial increase in email sign-ups.

Can I set up and manage my own ads?

Theoretically, yes, you can run your own ads. However, unless you have Facebook ads experience, your ads likely won't be as effective as those set up and managed by an expert. Plus, running ads yourself takes a lot of time, while letting a professional handle the task will free up multiple hours in your schedule.

What will my ads look like?

Your ads will consist of an image and some text, encouraging Facebook and Instagram to visit a page where they can sign up for your email list.

 

As part of this service, we will create images for your ads. If you'd also like to feature a video in some ads, and you can provide us the video, we'd be happy to include it.

Where will my ads appear?

Your ads will appear on Facebook and Instagram.

What happens when people click my ads?

When people click your ads, they'll be taken to a page where they can sign up for your email list (known as a "landing page").

 

If you already have a landing page for email sign-ups, you simply need to provide us the URL. If you don't yet have a page like this, we will guide you into creating one. 

What do I need to provide to run an ad campaign?

You will need a web page Facebook and Instagram users will go to after they click your ads (known as a "landing page"). This page should have an input box for people's email addresses, allowing them to subscribe to your list.

 

Ideally, people will receive a free, digital item when they give you their email address (known as a "reader magnet"). Offering a reader magnet will significantly improve your ad results. Reader magnets often are short stories, preview chapters, bonus chapters, checklists, and guides.

 

If you already have a landing page that promotes your reader magnet, as part of this service, we will offer recommendations for upgrading the page.

 

If you don't yet have a reader magnet or landing page, as part of this service, we will offer guidance for creating them.

Will these ads help me sell more books?

Yes. The ads' primary purpose is to grow your email list, however, once people subscribe to your email list, they are much more likely to buy your books vs. others. Here is the sales flow we are hoping to achieve for you:

 

-Readers of your genre, who aren't yet familiar with you, notice an ad for your reader magnet on Facebook/Instagram

 

-They click your ad, and sign up for your email list to get the reader magnet

 

-Soon, they read your reader magnet, and become familiar with what you write

 

-Periodically, they receive emails from you, related to what you write

 

-Some of these emails are about books you've previously published, and/or ones you're soon to publish

 

-Now that these subscribers are familiar with what you write, they purchase your books on Amazon, over time

What's a Facebook advertising account?

Facebook's parent company, Meta, has a portal dedicated to creating and managing ads on Facebook and Instagram. You need to create an account on this portal to run ads. These accounts are free. If you already have an email/password you use to log into Facebook, you can use the same email/password for your advertising account.

How does Facebook charge authors for ads?

Facebook primarily charges based on how many users see your ads, and how many other ads are trying to reach the same audience as yours. The more competitive a certain audience is to target, the higher its cost, in general.

 

At Galdi Media, we like to assess campaigns based on their cost per subscriber. Example, if you spend $10/day on ads and bring in an average of 10 new email subscribers per day, your cost per subscriber would be $1.

 

We try to get this cost as low as we can for you. 

What does Galdi Media's fee for this service include?

Galdi Media charges you a fee to launch your ads and manage them for 30 days. We'll target your ads to Facebook and Instagram users who are likely to be interested in your email list, create your ads' images, and write their text.

 

Our advertising team will monitor your ads' performance over a 30-day period, and consistently make adjustments to increase your subscribers and/or lower your cost per subscriber.

 

Galdi Media's fee does not cover what Facebook charges for ad views. Your budget for ads depends on your personal financial situation. The more you spend, the more email subscribers you're likely to bring in. We recommend a budget of at least $5/day.

 

After the 30-day period, the service will automatically renew for another month, and we'll continue monitoring your ads. The service will keep renewing each month, unless you choose otherwise.

Can I direct my Facebook ads to Amazon book pages?

Though we typically run Facebook ads to help authors grow their email lists, yes, we can instead run campaigns to drive traffic to a book's Amazon page.

Why should I use Galdi Media for Facebook ads?

You have four main options for running Facebook ads:

 

1.) Doing it yourself. This can eat up a lot of your time. Plus, unless you're an expert digital advertiser, you likely won't be as effective as a professional.
