FAQs
To sell a lot of books, you need to reach a lot of people interested in your genre. If you happen to have a large email list or social media following, you might be able to sell a lot of books by messaging your audience directly. However, even in this case, ads can make your reach even bigger, increasing your sales potential.
If you do not happen to have a large email list or social following, ads are crucial for getting your book in front of enough people for good sales results.
Theoretically, yes, you can run your own ads. However, unless you have Amazon ads experience, your ads likely won't be as effective as those set up and managed by an expert. Plus, running ads yourself takes a lot of time, while letting a professional handle the task will free up multiple hours in your schedule.

Your ads will consist of your promoted book's cover and title, plus up to 150 characters of text encouraging Amazon users to click your ad and visit your book page on the site.
Amazon has various sites for different countries. For instance, Amazon.com is its US site, while Amazon.ca is its Canadian site. As part of this service, you can run ads on the Amazon site for any of these geographies: US, UK, CA, and AU. Though the US site receives the most traffic, you can specify any of the three other choices.
If you happen to want to run ads in multiple geographies, you'd need to order our Amazon Ads service for each of the geographies.
When your ads go live, they will appear on search-results and product pages on the corresponding Amazon site.
When people click your ads, they'll be taken to your book's Amazon page, where they can read your description, and order your book in any format it's offered in.
Amazon has a portal dedicated to creating and managing ads on its site. You need to create an account on this portal to run ads. These accounts are free. If you already have an email/password you use to log into Amazon, you can use the same email/password for your advertising account.
Amazon charges authors for ads based on a cost per click (CPC) method. When your campaigns go live, your ads will be shown to many users on Amazon. However, you will not be charged for any ad unless a user clicks on it and visits your book's Amazon page.
For example, let's say you set a $10/daily budget for your campaigns. At the start of the day, some people see your ads, but none click. You won't be charged.
Then, throughout the day, clicks start coming in. On average, Amazon charges you $0.50 per click. After 20 clicks, your ads will stop showing that day, and you'll be charged $10 by Amazon (20 clicks at $0.50/each).
The cost Amazon charges per click varies from ad to ad. It is generally based on how many other ads are trying to reach the same audience as yours. The more competitive a certain audience is to target, the higher its cost per click.
Galdi Media charges you a fee to launch your ads and manage them for 30 days. We'll target your ads to Amazon users who are interested in your genre, create your ads, and set your bidding strategy, which refers to how much Amazon will charge you per click.
Our advertising expert will monitor your ads' performance over a 30-day period, and consistently make adjustments to increase your sales and/or lower your cost per click.
Galdi Media's fee does not cover your ads' click costs. Your budget for ads depends on your personal financial situation. The more you spend, the more book sales you're likely to generate. We recommend a budget of at least $5/day.
After the 30-day period, the service will automatically renew for another month, and we'll continue monitoring your ads. The service will keep renewing each month, unless you choose otherwise.
Yes. After the 30-day period, the service will automatically renew for another month, and we'll continue monitoring your ads. The service will keep renewing each month, unless you choose otherwise.
Yes, however, you will need to order this service for each book you'd like to run ads for, since we create custom-tailored campaigns for every book.
You have four main options for running Amazon ads:
1.) Doing it yourself. This can eat up a lot of your time. Plus, unless you're an expert digital advertiser, you likely won't be as effective as a professional.
2.) Hiring a freelancer. Though many good freelancers are out there, plenty of them overpromise and under-deliver. Knowing whether or not you're choosing an effective one can be hard. Plus, if you go with a freelancer, you'll have to spend time managing the project.
3.) Working with another company that provides Amazon advertising. Though other companies provide Amazon advertising in general, the vast majority do not specialize in book ads. In addition, your point of contact at these companies likely won't be its president, or a #1 bestselling author.
4.) Partnering with Galdi Media. Your point of contact will be Ted Galdi, our president, and a #1 bestselling author. He'll give you customized advice to make your book a success. You won't have to do any ad research, setup, or management. Ted will make sure experts from his network handle everything for you. Because he believes authors should keep 100% of their earnings, you won't be asked to give over a royalty percentage, or to sign any contracts at all.
