    Feedback and finalization

What will be in my book trailer?

 

Your book trailer will feature video clips, images, text, and music relevant to your book. The goal is to build curiosity among readers of your book's genre, and encourage them to visit a sales page to buy your book.   

 

All you need to provide is your cover image and a brief summary of your book. We handle everything from there.  

How long will my trailer be?

 

Your book trailer will be 30 seconds long, which we feel is the optimal length.

Where can I post my trailer?

 

You can post your trailer anywhere online. Ex, your author website and social-media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and X.

How does a trailer fit into a book-marketing strategy?

Once you have a book trailer, you can use the same video in a lot of different ways. Here are five major uses of a book trailer:

 

(1) Your author website. If you have an author site, we recommend you include a page on it dedicated to each of your books. Adding a trailer to these pages is a great way to enhance them. You can build excitement about your book in just 30 seconds, boosting the odds a site visitor makes an order.

 

(2) Organic social media. If you have accounts on Facebook, X, YouTube, or any other social-media platform with video, you should add your trailer to them. This is a great way to bring attention to an upcoming/new release, or any book you've previously launched, even years ago.

 

(3) Paid ads. Do you run book ads on platforms like Facebook and Instagram? You can easily use your trailer to create an engaging video ad for your book.

 

(4) Landing pages. Do you ever run special offers for your books, ex, 2-for-1s or giveaways? If so, you should create a dedicated landing page for each offer. Including the trailer for a book that's part of the offer can significantly increase your conversion rate.

 

(5) Email list. A great way to get your audience excited about an upcoming release is to send your email list a link to your trailer a few days/weeks before the new book comes out.       

 

Will I have rights to post the music and other material in the trailer? 

Yes. Any music, video clips, and images we include in your trailer will be licensed for your use. You can post the trailer online without running into any copyright issues.

 

Can I make my own trailer?

Theoretically, yes, you can make your own trailer. However, unless you have video-creation experience, your trailer likely won't be as appealing as one made by an expert.

 

Plus, creating a trailer yourself takes a lot of time, while letting a professional handle it will free up many hours in your schedule.

 

Why should I use Galdi Media for my trailer?
