Ted will advise on a cover concept for your site, and our expert developer will create a version 1 for you to review. Timing: Within 3 weeks of the previous step.
Step 3
Feedback and finalization
Send us your feedback on the version 1 site, which we'll use for updates. Go through up to 3 rounds of revisions until you're happy. Timing: Within 1-2 weeks of the previous step.
Step 4
Marketing plan
Receive our Conversion Rate Optimization Blueprint, and schedule your 1-on-1 session with Ted, where he'll lay out a customized bestseller marketing strategy for you. Timing: Immediately after the previous step.

Even if you have social media profiles, and an author page on Amazon, you should also have a website. Your website is where readers go to sign up for your email list. An email list is a powerful tool for letting people know about your new releases, and more.
We encourage authors to include a link to their website in the bio section at the end of their books, plus on all of their social media profiles.
Theoretically, yes, you can create your own site. However, unless you have web-development experience, your site likely won't be as effective as one designed by an expert. Plus, creating a site yourself takes a lot of time, while letting a professional handle it will free up multiple hours in your schedule.

If you let Galdi Media create your site, it will have a home page, which will convey the genres you write in and encourage visitors to sign up for your email list. If you already have an email list, we'll sync it with your new site. If you don't yet have an email list, we'll start one for you, then connect it to the site.
Your site will also have a page about you and a contact page. It can also have up to 4 pages dedicated to books of yours, with covers, blurbs, and purchase links.
If you'd like additional pages, no problem. We can discuss what you need and customize an add-on service for you.
No. If you happen to already have an email list, we will sync it with your new site. If you don't have an email list, we will start one for you, and connect it to the site.
Yes. Once your site is live, we will give you access to log into its admin portal at any time to add new content or make changes. You can use the admin portal even if you don't have any computer coding experience.
However, if you'd rather not make updates yourself, that is okay. At any time in the future, you can contact us and let us know what you need. We can create a custom add-on service for you, and one of our experts will make the updates.
Galdi Media charges you a one-time fee to design and launch your site. However, before we can begin work, you will need to purchase a domain name (ex, "your name" followed by ".com") and hosting, which keeps your site up and running.
Fortunately, these outside costs are very affordable. We can get you set up on a plan for less than $5/month.
You have four main options for getting an author website:
1.) Doing it yourself. This can eat up a lot of your time. Plus, unless you're an expert web developer, you likely won't be as effective as a professional.
2.) Hiring a freelancer. Though many good freelancers are out there, plenty of them overpromise and under-deliver. Knowing whether or not you're choosing an effective one can be hard. Plus, if you go with a freelancer, you'll have to spend time managing the project.
3.) Working with another company that provides web-development services. Though other companies provide web development in general, the vast majority do not specialize in author sites. In addition, your point of contact at these companies likely won't be its president, or a #1 bestselling author.
